NEST ENGULF – an art/music/film community event, will take place on the 13th of February at NEST co working space, from 6pm to 10pm.
NEST ENGULF an initiative by Dubai Jiggy is a one day event hosted at NEST co working space at Tryp Hotel in Barsha on Tuesday 13th of February. This event will showcase the work of young student and residents artists of UAE who are highlighting the need for a stronger community through their artwork. Along with the opening of the art exhibition, Dubai Jiggy is bringing together musicians, writers, filmmakers, poets, and live artists to showcase the creative spirit of Dubai.
Nest Engulf will showcase the opening of the art exhibition, have live art demonstrations by local artists – including calligraphy, string art, and mandala art, two panel discussions centered around art, culture, and filmmaking, book readings from local writers, screenings by two local filmmakers of short documentaries, and the announcements for the top 3 winning artists.
Narmeen Naser – Founder of Dubai Jiggy says, “That the aim of Dubai Jiggy is to highlight and supports local startups, female entrepreneurs, student writers, musicians, writers, filmmakers, photographers, and visual artists in the region. NEST ENGULF is the first event and it will open discussions on the local art scene, film making and alternative art.”
Through this event, Dubai Jiggy wants to create a dialogue around the need for a stronger creative ecosystem to build innovation and make UAE a center for creative minds.
